My practice in Hypnotherapy, Therapeutic Imagery, and EFT, is grounded in the positive expectation that we are alchemists, and our life experiences, even the traumas, are not things to “get over” or “get beyond,” but are our true base metals, ready to be transformed into gold. In building connection and awareness between body and mind, we learn to create a space between what happens to us, and how we react, and from this practice, we develop power over our choices, so we can engage fully with life.
Beneath techniques, my work is informed by my varied (some say bordering eccentric) life experience, which allows me to relate to many people in many situations. I have sat at the table with Fortune 500 decision-makers, including some of the Top 5, helped birth “Wilson” in Cast Away as an assistant to an Oscar-nominated screenwriter, written professionally, coached professional writers, hawked timeshare tours, waited tables, and channeled a higher consciousness. I started surfing at aged 36 in frigid, shark-infested waters, where surfing saved me from spiraling and dangerous depression. Its salvation launched me on a hero’s journey of love, loss, recovery, and triumph.
I have been married, divorced, single, madly in love, betrayed, and healed. I am a single mom to a spectacular daughter now attending Brown University. I’ve run a podcast uplifting women surfers and served as a marketing director in manufacturing, placing products in three of the world’s biggest retailers. I speak many “languages”: corporate, hard knocks, entrepreneur, surfer, woo woo, and artist.
I studied Socrates, Ecosystemology, and Conservation and Resource Studies at UC Berkeley; writing and theater at Humboldt State (BA); psychic healing at the Berkeley Psychic Institute; and Transformational Life Coaching with Derek Rydall. I’m a Certified Hypnotherapist and Therapeutic Imagery Master through the Hypnosis Motivational Institute and am finishing an associate’s degree in Mind Body Psychology.
